WHAT KIND OF
OUT ARE YOU?

Three ways homes lose power, and what each one means. Whichever yours is, the phone call is free and the answer is straight.

🏠

WHOLE HOUSE IS DARK

Look at your neighbors first. If the street is dark too, it's APS or SRP. If it's just your house, your main breaker or service connection failed — that's us, and we dispatch immediately.

🌗

HALF THE HOUSE IS OUT

Some rooms dead, lights dim or surging in others? You've likely lost one leg of your service. This can cook appliances — shut the main off and call us now.

🔌

ONE ROOM OR OUTLET

Usually a tripped breaker or a GFCI hiding upstream. If it trips again after a reset, something is faulting — we find the cause instead of resetting the symptom.

COMMON
QUESTIONS

Is it my utility or my wiring?
Fastest check: your neighbors. Whole street dark means APS/SRP — report the outage to them. Just your house, or only part of it, means the problem is on your side of the meter, and that's exactly what we fix, around the clock.
Half my house has power — is that dangerous?
It can be. Losing one leg of your 240V service means some circuits see wrong voltage, which can damage AC units, refrigerators, and electronics. Turn the main breaker off and call — this one shouldn't wait for morning.
The breaker keeps tripping after I reset it. Now what?
Stop resetting it. A breaker that re-trips is doing its job — there's a real fault on that circuit. Leave it off and call us; forcing it repeatedly is how wiring gets hot.
How fast can you get my power back on?
We dispatch immediately for power-loss calls, day or night, from inside the Valley. Most single-circuit faults are diagnosed and repaired the same visit — our vans carry the common breakers and parts.
